newspaper nails

I did some newspaper nails last night! fun. super easy watch this tutorial. I used Essie as my base in adore-a-ble (nude pinkish tone) and OPI top coat (super important for smudging and shine) Newspaper used was Oly power and light. Recycle and re-use people! Next time I do this I want to cut out certain words.... How fun would that be?

 P.S. sorry about the blurry photo... not sure how to fix that. I always have problems with blurry fingernail paint nail photo's. any suggestions?!

elastic waist-ers

I'm having a love affair with my new denim acid wash elastic waist-ers! I put the pocket on from a chambray button down I had. They fit sort of like bloomers. I nip and tucked them in the sides and cut the legs off for roll ups. I think they were like $2.

adventures in cupcake land.....

My newest try's from Casey's Cupcakes. S'mores up top and peanut buttercup down below. Both amazing. The s'mores is definitely a new favorite. Too bad they only do it for the month of July! Well probably a good thing for health reasons. Vanilla bean cake and milk chocolate frosting. Chocolate dipped gram cracker and of course marshmallows! After all that the peanut butter cup seems so anti climatic. Its just more of a simple cake. ha. Kicking and screaming we stopped at the mission inn store in Riverside on our way out to Joshua Tree. It was equally as cute at the Laguna store. Same difference really, so no need to hike out there unless of course your on your way to Joshua Tree.... or Palm springs... or Hicksville!
